Ground Beef Lo Mein

A quick and satisfying meal that’s even better than takeout! Tender noodles and crisp-tender vegetables are tossed with flavorful ground beef in a rich, savory sauce.

🛒 Ingredients

For the Noodles & Beef:

  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti/linguine)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Vegetables:

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup carrots, cut into matchsticks or julienned

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)

  • 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, but highly recommended)

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey

  • ¼ cup beef broth or water

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp cornstarch
