Believe it or not, about 50% of the world’s apple juice comes from China. China is the world’s largest producer of pesticides, and they haven’t even begun to address the problem of pesticide residues or chemicals in food. I recommend avoiding apple juice altogether, for yourself and your children. Fruit juice is too high in sugar, and it’s better to mix it with vegetable juice for your blood sugar levels.

Inspectors have found contaminated mushrooms coming from China. Some manufacturers in China even go so far as to label these industrial mushrooms as organic to increase their profits. If you do a Google search, you’ll find that there are many « mystery mushrooms » in China, which are completely counterfeit. Do your best to know the source, buy organic and local!
