It slithered up to him, stopping just a few feet away. Normally, he wouldn’t have expected a snake to come this close to a human, but this one didn’t seem aggressive. In fact, the snake seemed calm, yet its approach was peculiar.
Initially, Jake assumed the snake was simply passing by, but he quickly noticed something different.
Without fully understanding what was going on, Jake cautiously made a decision to offer the snake a small amount of water.
The idea that the snake might be thirsty crossed his mind, but he wasn’t entirely sure what it meant for an animal like this to behave in such a way.
Contacting Animal Control
Jake was concerned about the snake’s behavior, so he contacted animal control. He wasn’t sure whether he was overreacting or if there was something serious going on.
It was a rare sight when seeing a wild snake come so close to a human, and the situation seemed to warrant professional attention.
Soon after, an experienced animal control officer named Mark arrived at the scene. His reaction to the situation wasn’t what Jake expected.
Jake had assumed that Mark would simply dismiss the situation, but Mark’s demeanor was serious from the moment he arrived.
“You okay, Jake?” Mark asked, his focus entirely on the snake.
