1. Layer the Filling:
Lightly grease the insert of your slow cooker. Pour the entire can of cherry pie filling into the bottom and spread it into an even layer.
2. Add the Cake Mix:
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cherry layer. Do not stir. For an extra treat, sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the cake mix at this stage.
3. Drizzle the Butter:
Drizzle the melted butter as evenly as possible over the top of the cake mix.
4. Cook:
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on High for 3 hours. The cake is done when the top is set and golden brown, and the edges are bubbly.
5. Serve and Enjoy!
Scoop the warm cake directly from the slow cooker into bowls. It’s fantastic on its own or served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
