Ischemic stroke: the most common, caused by a blood clot blocking an artery.
Hemorrhagic stroke: Caused by a ruptured blood vessel, which causes a brain hemorrhage.
Transient ischemic attack (TIA): A temporary mini-stroke, a warning sign of a more serious stroke.
But before a stroke occurs, the body can send warning signals that are crucial to recognize.
1- Extreme and unexplained fatigue
Persistent fatigue, even after a good night’s sleep, may indicate poor blood circulation to the brain.
Blurred vision, double vision, or sudden loss of vision in one eye are warning signs. Tunnel vision can also be a precursor to a stroke.
3- Numbness or weakness on one side of the body
A suddenly weak arm, a face that freezes on one side, or a tingling sensation? These are classic symptoms of an impending stroke.
4- Difficulty speaking or understanding
If you have difficulty articulating, finding words, or understanding what’s being said, this could indicate a serious neurological problem.
Are you staggering for no reason or experiencing persistent dizziness? The cause could be poor blood flow to the brain.
