It already happened according to a video on TikTok
A viral TikTok video warns of a new alleged car theft technique. Bri, an American mother, says she discovered several water bottles placed behind the wheels of vehicles in a Walmart parking lot. According to her, it’s not a coincidence but a ploy: when the car reverses, the tire crushes the bottle, producing a popping sound. Panicked, the driver gets out to check, sometimes leaving their keys in the ignition. The thieves then take the opportunity to steal belongings, or even the vehicle itself. The video, viewed nearly 700,000 times, has generated more than 1,100 comments, including some testimonials of similar experiences. Insurance experts confirm the existence of such methods and warn that confrontation can be dangerous. Their advice: don’t touch the bottle, alert the police, and avoid staying in the vicinity. A simple detail can hide a real danger.
