Hanky Panky Bites

Instructions

  1. Brown the Meats: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sausage and beef. Cook, breaking it into small crumbles with a spoon, until no pink remains and the meat is fully browned. Carefully drain off the excess grease and return the skillet to the stovetop.

  2. Make the Filling: Reduce the heat to low. Add the cubed Velveeta, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and evenly combined. Remove from heat.

  3. Prep Oven and Bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the party bread slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

  4. Assemble the Bites: Scoop a heaping tablespoon (about 2 tbsp) of the warm meat and cheese mixture onto each slice of bread, spreading it slightly to the edges.

  5. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the filling is hot and bubbling.

  6. Serve: Serve immediately while warm and delicious!

Chef’s Tip: For a make-ahead option, you can prepare the meat and cheese filling and store it in the refrigerator for up to two days. When ready to serve, simply reheat the filling on the stovetop until warm and spreadable, then assemble and bake the bites as directed.
