Steps
- Heat the oil to 350 degrees in a deep-sided skillet.
 
- Mix together the flour, chicken broth, egg, salt, and pepper to taste until smooth. The batter should be like a thick pancake batter.
 - Dip the pickle slices in the batter and fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
 - Drain on a sheet of paper towels before serving.
