French Bread or Bolillo
Ingredients:
500g wheat flour
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons dry yeast
1 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons vegetable fat or oil
Preparation:
1. Form a well of flour, add the yeast and 1/2 cup of water to dissolve. Wait 10 minutes for the yeast to activate.
2. Mix the wheat flour with the water little by little. Add the salt and sugar gradually.
3. Add the vegetable fat or oil and continue mixing vigorously.
4. Knead for 10 minutes until you get a firm, elastic dough. It should come away easily from the preparation table.
