Fire Roasted Salsa

There’s nothing like the deep, smoky flavor of salsa made from freshly grilled vegetables. This restaurant-style recipe is easier to make than you think!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Roma tomatoes

  • 1 large white onion, sliced into 3 thick rounds

  • 2 jalapeño peppers

  • 2 large poblano peppers

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 6 garlic cloves

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, packed

  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 2 tsp salt, or to taste

  • ½ tsp ground cumin

  • (Optional: freshly cracked black pepper)
