Crockpot Pepper Steak

Sear the Steak: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and minced garlic, and sauté until the beef is browned on all sides.

Combine in Slow Cooker: Pour the cornstarch and bouillon mixture into the crockpot. Add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Stir to combine. Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices) and black pepper.

Add Beef and Onions: Transfer the browned steak and any juices from the skillet into the slow cooker. Add the chopped onion and stir everything until well combined.

Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3 hours.

Add Bell Peppers: About 1 hour before serving, stir in the sliced bell peppers. Continue cooking for another hour, or until the peppers are tender but still have a slight bite.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
