In a small bowl, combine equal parts grated pecorino cheese and margarine to form a thick, spreadable paste.

Spread the cheese paste generously onto one side of each slice of bread.

Place the bread, paste-side down, onto a cool griddle or non-stick frying pan.

Cook over low to medium-low heat for approximately 1 minute, or until the coating is deeply golden brown and crisp. Serve immediately.
