Chocolate “Salami”

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place the cookies in a sturdy plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin into small, coarse bits. Set aside.

  2. Melt Chocolate: Combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well each time, until the mixture is smooth (about 1.5-2 minutes total).

  3. Combine: Add the cubed butter to the warm chocolate mixture and stir until the butter is fully melted and incorporated. Fold in the crushed cookies and chopped walnuts until everything is well coated.

  4. Form Logs: Divide the mixture into three equal portions. Place each portion on a separate sheet of plastic wrap. Use the wrap to help you roll and shape the mixture into tight, compact logs.

  5. Chill: Wrap the logs tightly and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or ideally overnight, until firm.

  6. Serve: Just before serving, roll each log generously in powdered sugar to create a “salami” effect. Slice and enjoy.
