Instructions

  1. Make the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the granulated sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. Combine: In a large pitcher, combine the remaining 4 cups of cold water, the warm simple syrup, citric acid, orange extract, and orange sanding sugar.

  3. Stir & Chill: Stir vigorously until everything is fully dissolved and combined. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill completely for 2-3 hours.

  4. Serve: Pour over a glass full of ice and enjoy a taste of history!
