Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry
Instructions
-
Sauté Aromatics: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for just 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Drain Fat: Carefully drain any excess grease from the skillet.
-
Add Vegetables: Add the shredded cabbage and red bell pepper strips to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes, until the vegetables have softened but still have a slight crunch.
-
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the cold water, soy sauce, and cornstarch until smooth.
-
Thicken the Stir-Fry: Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet, stirring to combine everything. Add the ground black pepper and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and glossy.
-
Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed. Serve immediately over steamed rice.
