Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Recipe

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta & Beef: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. While the pasta cooks, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Prepare the Meat Sauce: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for one minute until fragrant. Pour in the jar of spaghetti sauce, stir to combine, and let it simmer on low heat.

  3. Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and half (¼ cup) of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth. To make it easier to combine, stir in a few spoonfuls of the warm meat sauce to loosen the mixture.

  4. Assemble the Casserole: In a 9×13 inch or similar casserole dish, combine the drained spaghetti and the cream cheese mixture, tossing until the pasta is evenly coated. Spread the meat sauce evenly over the pasta layer. Top with the shredded mozzarella and the remaining Parmesan cheese.

  5. Bake and Serve: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Enjoy! This dish is perfect served with a crisp green salad and garlic bread.
