Apple Cinnamon Cake
Instructions:
-
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together with an electric mixer (or by hand) for 2-3 minutes, until the mixture is pale, light, and fluffy.
 -
Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
 -
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, the remaining 3 teaspoons of cinnamon, and the salt.
 -
Form the Batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed only until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
 -
Fold in Apples: Gently fold the cinnamon-coated apple pieces into the batter until they are evenly distributed.
 -
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared tin and spread it evenly. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
 -
Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool in the tin for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
